BOARD SHORTS / FABRIC / SIZE RUN / US DESTINATION

Material-led sourcing / US business buyers

Custom board shorts, specified before quoted

Match fabric, fit and decoration before comparing factory quotations. Custom Board Shorts Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner helping business buyers turn a product idea into a clear requirement.

A board-short photograph does not establish fiber content, stretch direction, fabric weight or the finished waist measurement. Start with the intended activity, an existing fit reference and the quantities needed by size. Mark uncertain choices for supplier confirmation.

Before supplier comparison

Three checks that change the quote

01

Define the fabric, not a feel

Record fiber composition, woven construction, requested fabric weight in gsm and any stretch requirement. A lighter construction may reduce bulk, while another fabric may suit the requested finish better; neither choice proves durability or quick drying without an agreed check on the proposed item.

02

Separate sizes from packing

Supply finished measurements and a size run rather than relying on an S–XL label. State piece quantities per color and size, then specify the pack ratio and carton basis. A dozen is twelve pieces, not twelve mixed cartons. Supplier MOQ by color and style remains an open quote field.

03

Hold artwork to one revision

List the decoration method, print area, colors and label placement. Ask whether the sample represents the quoted fabric, artwork and waistband construction. Sample fees, artwork setup, packaging and freight should remain visible alongside unit price.

Which purchase are you preparing?

Surf and swim retail

Specify the assortment, size curve, hangtags and individual packaging so a supplier can answer on the retail program's actual scope.

Club or event merchandise

Give the wearer group, logo approval owner and event arrival date. A requested date is a planning input; it is not a confirmed production commitment.

Private-label replenishment

Identify the approved fit reference and acceptable changes. Repeat color names or size labels alone cannot establish that a later batch matches an earlier order.

Translate your buyer channel into a brief

Send the essentials in one brief

Product configuration, quantity in pieces, destination in the US and required timing come first. Add optional budget and supplier preference to help compare material, finish and service choices. Availability, documents and delivery scope require supplier confirmation.
